Nothing Else Matters!
  • Currently 5/5 Stars.

Already being a fan of the Guitar Hero franchise, I was ecstatic when I heard that my beloved Metallica were getting in on the action with their very own Guitar Hero. It follows the usual format - create a character - get playing - unlock new songs, but unlike some of the other GH games, you don't have to wait long before you get a Metallica track to rock out to, and neither do youhave to wade through songs you have never heard of. Motorhead, Mastodon, Slayer, Thin Lizzy and many more well known bands all feature so it's a true thrasher's dream. All the Metallica favourites are there, Eneter Sandman, Battery, For Whom The Bell Tolls, and my all time favourite, Nothing Else Matters. You get some awesome cut-scene band footage to enjoy as you stop for a well earned rest and you can download tracks from Death Magnetic when you tire of trying to get through "Battery" or Slayer's "War Ensemble". As a Metallica fan of many years standing, I was always going to enjoy this game, but it surpassed even my expectations and is a game I play over and over again.
Ten out of ten rock horns!
